HRC has provided substance abuse prevention services for over twenty three years. Currently staff facilitates Youth Prevention Education classes in both Clark and Edgar Counties. There are two evidence based curricula that we offer to middle schools (Botvin’s Life Skills Training and Project ALERT). This department also facilitates meetings of our community substance abuse prevention coalition CAMA, Inc. During the summer we provide an educational/fun summer program for youth in the area with a prevention message. HRC Prevention is also working with area schools on developing mentoring programs. Currently, the Prevention Department serve youth ages 11-18.
