 Mental Health Therapist

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing a full range of therapeutic services to persons of all ages in an outpatient mental health setting.  These services include a therapeutic assessment of need, diagnosis, treatment plan development and the provision of services through either individual, conjoint, family or group therapy.  On-call crisis service not required.  Special Note: Student loan repayment through the National Health Services Corp Program for qualified applicants.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

1.             Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

2.             Ability to relate to persons of various ages and with a variety of presenting problems.

3.             Ability to work independently and provide self-motivation.

4.             Ability to comply with agency procedures and state regulations.

5.             Strong diagnostic/assessment and problem-solving skills.

6.             Ability to help clients formulate treatment objectives.

7.             Ability to past pre-employment background checks.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Maintenance Worker/Driver

 

Split position involving maintenance and mechanical duties for all HRC locations as well as driver support for the HRC-753 Rehabilitation Services facility.  Maintenance and mechanical responsibilities shall include but are not be limited to: repair, internal inspections, and preventative maintenance of building exteriors and interiors, heating and cooling systems, boilers/water softeners, fire alarms,  sprinkler systems, laundry and production machinery, plumbing fixtures, security systems, office furnishings and equipment, grounds, and agency vehicles.  Driver support shall include contract delivery and pickup and consumer transportation.

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

1.       High school diploma or equivalent;

2.       Excellent mechanical aptitude with hands on experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical devices

3.       Valid driver’s license and proof of safe driving record;

4.       Proven capabilities  for troubleshooting problems/repairing/maintaining buildings, machinery/equipment and/or arranging for same;

5.       Awareness of equipment maintenance requirements, applicable health and safety standards, and knowledge of accessibility standards/codes

6.       Ability to document and organize and prioritize information regarding repair, internal inspections, and preventative maintenance.

7.       Required to pass USDOT requirement of a medical examination conducted by a licensed health care professional.  Physical requirement to be issued a Medical Examiner’s Certificate include:  1) no loss of a foot, a leg, a hand or an arm; 2) no established medical history or clinical diagnosis of diabetes requiring insulin for control; 3) no clinical diagnosis of any disqualifying heart disease; 4) no clinical diagnosis of high blood pressure; 5) no clinical diagnosis of epilepsy; 6) have 20/40 vision or better with corrective lenses; 7) have distant binocular acuity of at least 20/40 in both eyes; 8) have the ability to recognize the colors (red, green and amber) of traffic signals; 9) have hearing to perceive a forced whisper; and 10) have no clinical diagnosis of alcoholism.

8.       Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and coordination, including but not limited to medium to heavy lifting; climbing ladders and/or stairs; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending 41-75% of the time; working inside and outside with dust and noise 11-40% of the time; simultaneous use of hand, wrist, and fingers 41-75% of the time; standing 41-75% of the time; and push 400-500 pound carts on wheels.

9.       Ability to pass pre-employment and criminal and alcohol/other drug testing.

10.   First aid and CPR training;

11.   Ability to relate positively to persons with disabilities;

12.   Ability to represent the agency in a positive manner.

Residential Support Aide Plus On-Call

                 

To assure completion of specific tasks related to consumer need, licensure requirements, and safety, providing an opportunity for advancement for direct care staff.

 

Basic Duties:    

In addition to duties listed in the Residential Support Aide (RSA) job description, current

RSA staff will have the opportunity to apply for:

 

Residential Support Aide Plus-Schedule on-call – Participate in schedule on call rotation to cover unexpected absences.  Time will be adjusted as needed to prevent OT, unless overtime is approved. $.25 per hour increase.

Respite Provider Level I

The Respite Care Provider will provide services to Respite Level I, II, or III children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families by providing care/supervision for the disabled family member in order to provide relief to the primary caregiver.

DUTIES:               

1.  To supervise and provide companionship to the recipient.

2.  Assure the safety and well being of the adult or child served

3.  Provide good physical care including, feeding, toileting, bathing, dressing, and operating adaptive equipment as necessary. 

4.  Obtain emergency medical care when necessary. 

5.  Respect the confidentiality of the recipient and family.

6.  Complete pay voucher and evaluation form for respite care sit.

                      

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.  Eighteen years of age or older.

2.  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent capabilities based upon demonstrated expertise, experience, and training.

3.  Able to complete at least five hours of respite provider orientation and training and periodic in-service training.

4.  Reliable transportation to and from respite care sits.

5.  Able to provide at least three respite care sits per month.

 

HOURS:                 Varied, based on family request and number of hours the provider would like to work.
