Strategic objectives to be given special 

attention in fy 2008 

 

¨ The staff, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors will work together to safeguard the fiscal health of the agency by balancing revenue and expenses, maintaining adequate cash flow, complying with and regularly monitoring all bank covenants, appropriately managing risks, acquiring new revenue sources, carrying out a more comprehensive program for capital asset management which fully incorporates the conditions and limitations imposed by the Board, and seeking greater efficiencies and economies of scale through strategic organizational alliances.

 

¨ Formally establish and document the governing body’s role in public relations and fundraising activities.  In addition to an annual fundraising event and in conjunction with the new Marketing and Fund Development Director’s responsibilities expand the role of the Fundraising Committee and make available additional opportunities for board members to get involved in development efforts.

 

¨ Continue to analyze the strengths, problems, and patterns within specific workgroups and departments, utilizing the Administrative Council and Leadership Team to develop proposals for trainings, organizational structure changes, and workgroup incentives.
